## Overview

The Impact Dashboard is a tab inside your compensation review cycle that shows the aggregate financial and organizational impact of all changes in the cycle. If you have reviewer or approver access, it gives you a real-time picture of how decisions across your team are adding up.

What you see on the Impact Dashboard is scoped to your access. If you are a reviewer for a subset of employees, the KPIs, charts, and table rows reflect only those employees.

## Accessing the Impact Dashboard

Once you are inside an active compensation review cycle, the Impact Dashboard appears as a tab in the cycle navigation:

**Cycle Overview > Changes and Approvals > Full Team Overview > Impact Dashboard > Audit Log**

The tab may not be visible to all participants. Its visibility is controlled by the cycle owner in Cycle Settings.

## KPI Summary Cards

At the top of the dashboard, you will see up to four summary cards:

| Card | What it shows |
| ------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Total Cost Impact** | The total dollar change in compensation across your team, plus the percentage increase and pre/post values. |
| **Budget Utilization** | How much of the allocated budget has been used across all budget pools, plus the remaining amount. Only shown when budget pools are configured. |
| **Employees Impacted** | The number of employees with active changes, as a percentage of everyone eligible in the cycle. |
| **Guideline Deviations** | The number of employees whose proposed changes fall outside compensation guidelines. Only shown when guidelines are configured for the cycle. |

Not all cards may be visible. Cycle owners can choose which cards to show or hide.

## Cost Waterfall Chart

The waterfall chart shows how total compensation spend moves from the current state to the post-cycle run rate. Use the toggle above the chart to switch between two views:

- **By Type:** Breaks down the change by category, such as merit increases and promotions.
- **By Budget Pool:** Shows the same flow, broken out by each configured budget pool.

***

## Budget Pool Summary Table

If budget pools are configured for the cycle, this table shows how each pool is tracking:

- **Allocated:** The total budget for the pool.
- **Used:** The amount committed so far by reviewers.
- **Remaining:** What is left to allocate.
- **Utilization %:** Used as a percentage of allocated.
- **Status:** A color-coded chip showing whether the pool is on track, approaching its limit, or over budget.

## Impact Pivot Table

The pivot table breaks down cycle impact by dimension, such as department, job level, location, or reviewer. For each group, you can see:

| Column | Description |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Employee Count** | Number of employees in the group |
| **Promotions** | Number of promotions in the group |
| **Current Spend** | Annualized compensation before cycle changes |
| **Post-Cycle Spend** | Annualized compensation after cycle changes |
| **Delta** | Combined dollar and percent change, shown as `+$782,000 (+4.3%)` |
| **Avg Increase %** | Average percentage increase across the group |

Click any row to open the Full Team Overview filtered to that group, where you can see the individual employee changes behind the number.

The group-by dimensions available in the table are configured by the cycle owner.

## Ask ChartHop (AI Insights)

The **Ask ChartHop** button is available on the Impact Dashboard tab. You can use it to ask questions about the data on the page, such as which department has the highest average increase or how much budget remains across pools.
