Often, essential data points like "Years of Experience at Hire" or "Referral Status" can live in the ATS and never make their way into your org data. Plus, typical HR systems don't always make it easy to add different custom field types and report them over time. With our Custom Fields for New Hires bundle, you can pull reports on various new hire metrics that managers could easily overlook. For Example, you could pull data on employee performance of referred employees vs. non-referred employees. Build on the fields in this bundle add the entry of this data into your current workflows in your organization to set yourself up for long-term analytics success!
To install the Custom Fields for New Hires bundle, you must be an owner to access it. If you are not an owner, please contact your admin, and they can configure the install.
This bundle includes custom fields for your datasheet you can use as suggestions/idea-generation to build out the data you have on your employees from Day 1. The bundle will provide analytics for hiring recruiting processes that could otherwise fall by the wayside. The default privacy setting on these fields is Manager-Only, so only managers of the open role or users with recruiter/sensitive access levels will see the fields' contents.
Within the Choose Columns Modal, you will see the data generated by the bundle. To quickly pull up the custom fields in this bundle, you can filter for "NH" as you select your columns.
To see the jobs relevant to the bundle, add a Filter to your data sheet by Start Date. A best practice is to set the start date to after the current date.
With the filter set, you will see the jobs or people in jobs that are either open roles or new hires. As you can see, some of the columns contain pencil emojis ✏️. This emoji indicates a field that requires input when beginning your headcount process. You can do this by selecting the Edit Sheet button.
You will notice that some of the columns containing ✏️ are uneditable without a person in the role. These columns are Person columns, so a person must fill the job to make changes.
Fields that do not contain ✏️ have Smart Calculations and will auto-populate based on function. After inputting the information in editable cells, you can save your view as "New Hire Data." To do this, hover over your current view and select "Save as new view" from the drop-down menu. Name your view and hit Enter to save your view for easy access in the future.
