Data Sheet (New)

this feature is currently in beta we're really excited about it and it's already being used by multiple organizations try it out and send feedback to the charthop team or directly to mailto\ product feedback\@charthop com how to setup a beta feature from the left sidebar, s elect admin, then select labs use the switch to toggle on the feature, then press the save settings button read below for additional setup instructions and context about what will be activated when you save settings charthop has a completely refreshed version of one of our core components, the docid\ xtd4dg4i 4 nmwjfesq0s it does all of the things you are used to with the existing data sheet along with a bunch of new things! new interactions taking action on a person or job the familiar three dot menu is here in the new data sheet as well as a new right click menu to access the actions like edit job, edit person or terminate, you can either click on the three dot icon right click on the row click on the expand icon and select actions on the third pane adding & removing columns you can quickly add a new column by clicking the ➕ in the last column header or any column header click the column header to and click "hide column" to remove it from the data sheet view you are still able to use the select columns menu to manage columns as well sorting columns click the column header then select "sort ascending" or "sort descending" to sort a column sorting columns new functionality column details hover over a header to view information about the field in the colum including type (icon) name field code sensitivity description summary calculated columns you can add any calculation to your sheet by inserting a new column with that calculation think of it like a formula in a spreadsheet that is applied to the whole column this data point can optionally be saved as a smart calculation field or can just exist within the context of the sheet copy + paste copy from charthop — select then copy any content, paste it onto a spreadsheet like excel or google sheets ✨ magic paste into charthop — copy data from another spreadsheet then paste it into the data sheet if the cells are editable for you and the values are valid, it will paste in then you can adjust or save the changes edit to edit a cell in the data sheet, either click the edit button (pencil icon) in the top right double click on a cell you wish to edit once you are done making edits, click save and review changes bulk edit to edit more than one person or job at a time, select multiple rows and right click on the selected rows and select bulk edit saving and restoring the data sheet to save the data sheet or restore it to the original state, rollover the data sheet tab at the top of the data sheet to select one of those options save and restore exporting and syncing the new data sheet and additional options above the data sheet on the right side, you will see a row of icons these options are edit mode (pencil icon) add multiple columns (column icon) add open job (plus icon) export and sync (download icon) copy all data & headers export to csv sync to excel/sheets also available in compensation reviews the new data sheet tables and many of their features are also available in compensation reviews workbooks users can copy and paste, hide and show columns, rearrange columns, and see column details check with your csm to enable this feature
