When stock grants are issued, you can upload them to ChartHop in order to track vesting schedules and compensation. Like any other data import, users with Primary Editor privileges can upload this information from the Import CSV Data page.
Our recommendation is that you create a spreadsheet following the board meeting in which a set of grants were issued, and upload the information.
It is safe to repeatedly upload the same grants -- any grants with matching Grant IDs will overwrite previous grants with the same ID.
Similarly to any other data import, you must provide an identifier for the person who has been issued the grant. We recommend using Work Email to uniquely identify individuals.
Number of shares granted
Strike price per share of the grant, in dollars
The following columns are technically optional but should be included if possible:
Date grant is issued
Grant Vest Date
Date vesting schedule begins on
Grant Expire Date
Date of expiration of the grant
Type of stock issued (ISO, NSO, RSU)
A unique identifier for the grant
Stock symbol granted
your org's stock symbol
Vesting schedules, recorded in the Grant Vest column, usually consist of an interval for the vesting, duration of the total vesting period, and duration of the cliff.
The following common vesting schedules are currently supported. If you have some more unusual schedules, drop us a note at email@example.com.
Monthly vesting over four years with one-year cliff
Monthly vesting over four years with no cliff
Quarterly vesting over four years with one-year cliff
Quarterly vesting over four years with no cliff
