Integrating Jobvite with the ChartHop Jobvite app

This section covers the process for setting up your API to begin syncs between Jobvite, and the ChartHop Jobvite App.

1. Installing Jobvite in ChartHop

First begin by installing the Jobvite app.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Apps and Integrations in ChartHop.
  2. Find Jobvite in the list of available apps.
  3. Select Install on the far right-hand side of the table.

2. Generate your Webhook

Once the app is installed, you will need to obtain API access from your Jobvite representative / CSM. Specifically, you will need the API Key and Secret Key provided by Jobvite.

Please note that in order to receive the API access from Jobvite, you will need to choose an email to associate to the API activity. We recommend creating a separate email to act as a generic email and confirm the registration prior to proceeding.

Next, we set up the Candidate Hired Webhook in Jobvite so that ChartHop can capture new hires from Jobvite.

To generate your Webhook URL, you will simply need to initially create a placeholder API key & secret key value.

To do this, we follow the steps below:

Figure 4: Save your settings after entering your API and Secret Keys to generate your Webhook URL

  1. Open ChartHop.
  2. Navigate to the Jobvite app page.
  3. Enter placeholder values for your API and Secret Keys.
  4. Copy the URL provided in the Web Hook Setup section.
  5. Select the Save Settings button to save your configuration settings.

With the webhook enabled, and once the setup process is complete, all accepted offers in Jobvite will be pulled into ChartHop, alongside the new hire's start date, and contact information.

3. Obtain your API and Secret Key credentials from Jobvite

To receive your actual API and Secret Key credentials, you will need to email your Jobvite representative with the following email copy below, and replace the Webhook URL with the actual URL found in the Jobvite app config page, and the Email with your chosen email to associate to the API activity:

We are beginning our integration with ChartHop and need an API key generated for Charthop. (Please note that Charthop is a Jobvite partner) The email I want to choose to be associated with the API activity is: [Email] In addition, please help set up a candidate hired webhook to the following URL: [Webhook URL] Please reply to this email with that information and ensure implementation@charthop.com is included. ChartHop has previously integrated with the Jobvite APIs and is CC'ed as the technical contacts and can answer any questions.

Jobvite may require a zero dollar contract to be submitted in order to complete the API authorization request. Your CSM or Implementation Specialist can help you fill out and submit these forms.

Once you have received the necessary information from Jobvite, do not share this information with anyone outside of your organization, as it enables direct access to your data within Jobvite.

4. Jobvite Sync Config settings

In order for ChartHop to access your Jobvite data, you will need to enter the Jobvite API credentials obtained through the process above. In addition, there are a number of other configuration settings available to you.

The total list of Jobvite sync options are listed below:
