Org Changes History page
You can use the Org Changes History page as your audit log within ChartHop. It displays all people and job changes on one page and provides information about the type of change, who made the change, and when it was made.
The Org Changes History page keeps track of changes made to Jobs, People in Jobs, and Open jobs. Learn more. This page is not accessible to all employees.
To view Org Changes History:
- In the left sidebar, select Admin.
- In the sub-menu, select History > Org Changes History.
You can filter the Org Changes History page to show only the information that you are interested in. You can select a specific cutoff date, add jobs and people filters, and enter a group name (department, team, or location) to limit the information the displays.
This can be helpful, for example, when gauging growth in a particular department or viewing recent departures and other org changes for a category or group.
When viewing the History page, you can only view data on or before a certain date. If you need to view data between two specific dates, you'll need to export it. Learn more.
The following filter example would show you all job changes and promotions in the Human Resources department on or before August 2, 2022. To view that information:
- In the left sidebar, select Admin.
- In the sub-menu, select History > Org Changes History.
- Set the On or before date to Aug 2, 2022.
- In the Filters menu, select both Moves and Promotions to show job changes and promotion information.
- In the Filter by Group box, enter Human Resources to show only information for that department.
You can export information from the History page to a spreadsheet for auditing purposes. When you export, you have the ability to include additional columns to add more context and information, as well as the ability to limit the data that is exported to a specific date range.
When exporting data from the History page, you can filter data on the following
To export history information:
- In the left sidebar, select Admin.
- In the sub-menu, select History > Org Changes History.
- Set up filters to constrain the data you want to export.
- (Optional) Select Toggle Export Columns from the Export button.
- Choose the additional columns (fields) you want to include in your exported spreadsheet.
- Select Apply.
- Select the Export button to export your spreadsheet.
- When prompted, choose a date range for the data you want to export.
- Select Export.
- Select Download when your spreadsheet is ready to download.
You have the ability to export a list of departures within a specific date range. For example, you can export a list of all departures that occurred from April to June 2022.
To do this, you can filter the Org Changes History page by departures on or before the current date. You can then export this filtered data and include additional columns relating to these departures (for example, manager email and department) and specify the date range between April 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022.
The result is a list of people who have departed between April and June 2022, including their manager's email and department.
You can also export a list of promotions to see on average how long it takes from a person's start date to be promoted.
To do this, you can filter the Org Changes History page by promotions given on or before the current date. You can then export this filtered data and include additional columns relating to these promotions (for example, start date, last promotion date, and manager email).
The result is a list of people who have been promoted, including their manager's email, as well as their start date and the date of their last promotion.
You can export a list of changes made to a specific field over time. This is helpful for viewing the overall changes made to fields that get updated regularly (for example, 1:1 Form fields).
To do this, you can filter the Org Changes History page by the fields you want to view. You can then export this filtered data and specify the date range during the export.
The result is a list of all changes made to the selected fields between the specified time range.
