Job codes
Job codes give you a way to group, label, and track roles in ChartHop. They serve two distinct purposes, and you may use one or both depending on how your organization is set up.
Using job codes as a grouping tool
Job codes let you define a catalog of roles for your organization. Each job code has a name, a short identifier, an optional description, and a color used to represent that code on the org chart. Once created, job codes can be assigned to jobs to categorize and group them across your org.

Using job codes as integration matching keys
Job codes can also serve as matching keys that link open jobs in ChartHop to corresponding records in your payroll system or ATS. When a payroll sync runs, ChartHop uses the code value on an open job to find the right record and populate it with new hire data automatically, without duplicating jobs.
